I gather you are against drilling for oil offshore in the U.S. then? Are you aware how close to the U.S. coast other countries are doing just that? Exactly where do BP and Petrobas come from? chicago, IL, USA??? :o) Do you know who bought an $811 million stake in Petroleo Brasileiro SA in August of last year, making the Brazilian state-controlled oil company his investment fund's largest holding? Which country is loaning billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro?

I'm not saying good or bad (I think pursuing all options for energy here and abroad are smart and some of the arrangements go back to previous administrations and American companies have been given permission as well)...just that your political leader and party actions you boast so much about don't jive with your view...
