You are dead wrong. I was raised to be self reliant and I always have been until now. And I can't wait for that to change. Do you think I like this?!
>>>
>>>If anyone wants to give me a job, I'll take it. How's that? My VFP and SQL Server skills are pretty good and .NET is not bad. I'm not asking for a handout. >>>
>>>Didn't you just say in another post that you turned down a job because it wouldn't pay you enough? How about looking for
any honest job that will pay you an honest wage?
>>
>>I should have taken it. Maybe. Would you have taken a temp job for $31 an hour and no benefits?

>If I was not working, I would take a job for 7.50/hr and no benefits.....even two or three of them (I've done that before). Take the hours a dedicated developer works and the actual hourly wage goes way down anyway....not to mention you are being productive working period.
I think this is a problem (at least in my state). The unemployment in Massachusetts is about $600 a week (if I am not mistaken) and you can collect up to 2 years. So many don't even look for a job (seriously). I think it is bad.
