I did this as well several years ago (when the streaming was Vongo by Starz, which is now on the Netflix stream). But, I just use an old computer or notebook to drive the lcd panel.... and works great as well. I do pay for the Netflix, but pass on the Hula.

Also, now that the over the air atenna can pick up probably 20+ stations for free, that also helps.
