A long time ago I used to access/modify topspeed data using their ODBC driver and remote views/SPT. There'are a couple things specific to it that I remember:
  • One physical topspeed file is an database that can hold multiple tables. In our case each file had only one table
  • You have to list date and time columns in ODBC connection string otherwise they will not be recognized as such
