I held out almost forever w/ FPW 2.6 before moving directly to
VFP 9 bought new, & am still trying to research/recall the circumstances
under which I acquired (and then never used) these particular boxes.
Over the years, I think the most common rule of thumb for legit resale
has been for the seller to (1) uninstall & (2) transfer the original media --
but you are right: Some licenses may well specify non-transferable, and
others may require that the s/w publisher be notified. I have no idea where
MSFT has been on this through the years -- although I rather doubt that
they wish to be contacted by any recent acquirer of VFP 3.
Another common form of FP abuse (at least on Ebay, seemingly) is people buying
"academic" copies that they are not entitled to use.
