Cern Proxy is pretty standard and should work with all but the most ancient proxy servers. I think you'll be hard pressed to find servers these days that don't support this standard protocol.

Further though proxy support is mostly automatic on Window based on the global settings. if you build any WinInet based client you'll want to use the default configuration settings through the connection mode that picks up machine configuration settings which include the proxy settings.

wwFtp (part of West Wind Client Tools and IP Tools) supports all proxy settings supported by WinInet including default settings operation or manual configuration of proxy address and username and password for the proxy.
