Personally I'm OK with legalizing pot. When I was growing up it was just a misdemeanor if you weren't holding large quantities. It appeared to be on the way to legalization.

Somewhere over the last 30 years people decided to make it a horrible crime again - almost as bad as being a Republican at Berkeley.

It's probably less damaging than alcohol. I say legalize it or make alcohol illegal too.


I agree with you. I make a distinction between someone who sparks up the occasional doobie and someone who does coke or heroin.

There are plenty of people who are considered mature, responsible adults who smoke weed from time to time.

I know someone who is bi-polar, and is able to control it with marijuana. No other medication has worked. As far as I'm concerned, whatever keeps her employed and out of jail....

I've never tried marijuana and have no interest in trying it, but I think this country gets too worked up about pot. And I agree, it's less damaging than alcohol.
