It was not intended to be this provocative. It was an offhand observation. How many of us even knew who the guy is? I didn't. He is not a player and will not be the nominee. And that has nothing to do with race. He has no record and no recognition. It could have been some schlumpy white insurance salesman from Ohio in the same spot in the photo and my observation would have been the same.

They say race is the third rail in American politics. How true.
