>I'm fairly sure when I mentioned Herman Cain on here some months ago none of you US types had ever heard of him. He was touted on the BBC as a possible candidate. Maybe you should all stop listening to Fox and try some real news.

Actually one would have been much more likely to have heard of him on Fox. His political views mean he is not "really Black" in the eyes of media who decide on the authenticity of minority credentials based on adherence to an agenda favored by those who like to keep the Democratic plantation well-stocked. Politicians prefer Balkanization.

Unfortunately one of the last civil rights to be acquired is the right to think for oneself and not be politically constrained based on race or ethnicity.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
