I would say that both comments are objectionable as they depict people's traits that are absolutely irrelevant. If he wanted to comment in the Republican slate the relevant traits I would imagine are the merits (or lack of) of the candidates to be nominated; if they are slim, fat, black, yellow or fans of the Boston Bruins has nothing to do with it.
