>>>I believe the Brits actually do have some real news.

>>>Our TV news stations disgust me as much as they do you, across the political spectrum. It's hardly even about news any more, it's an unfortunate mashup of commercials, entertainment, and relentlessly repeated points of view. They should all go back to who-what-when-where, and maybe why if they can substantiate it.

>>Funnily enough the BBC is usually criticised in the Uk for left wing bias but recently has been getting stick for attacking labour.

>I listen to the Beeb on satellite radio sometimes and find their reporting to the point and unbiased. They go some places most media don't bother going any more, for instance a front line report from a famine in Africa. Obviously I am getting only a thin sliver of the output but IMO they have journalistic integrity. Compared to ours, you betcha ;-) (Seen the latest Lindsay Lohan photos?)
The tabloid press here are supposed to be some of the most crass and invading in the world. Its not all plummy BBC voices.
One BBC thing I find annoying is how they always try to make interviews on the news adversarial. The interviewee (who I may agree or disagree with) often cannot get their point across and I learn little more than that the interviewer is indignant.
