I do think name recognition will be a challenge to him but agree with your main point. We are probably more polarized than at any time in our history. It wasn't that long ago that the two parties, while having their genuine differences of opinion, would sit down together and work something out. Now it's all warfare all the time. No wonder we don't seem to get anywhere.

Me, I was dumb enough to think Obama would be the conciliator who led us out of this morass. He has tried but it has fallen on deaf ears. Maybe he needs to get a little LBJ in him. Kick butt and take down names.

>I think his biggest problem is not name recognition, it's that he's a moderate and both parties seem to be moving to the extreme.

>>Agreed. I follow politics and recognize his name but he is a complete unknown to most voters. You have to be really dynamic to get over that hump.

>>>Slate isn't done yet. Jon Huntsman will be throwing his hat into the melee next week. He was a really great governor, liked by both parties, but I don't give him much of a chance to win a Presidential election.
