Simply being devil's advocate and showing how something that is essential to one person is not to another and that there are huge ripple effects that end up costing us all money.

I am merely saying that funding much of this crap is not the government's responsibility. Helping the poor used to be done by voluntary contributions to various charities. It should be like that again.
