We hit $4/gallon here this spring. 1st time ever here.
Personally I'm all for tacking on another several $/gallon tax on gasoline (and non-commercial diesel - yep - show ID) that could go to alternative energy development (absolutely NONE to oil companies for any reason).
Since too many people in this country are still way too short sighted, a weaning from oil needs to be pushed rather than just stalled for another decade.
