John,
I'll tell you... I went to dev days, and was very impressed with VJ++. Espessial the IDE and design tools. Things like...
Two way tools... (very nice)
Controls work in design mode.
You can link the click event of one object to the click event code of another one...
You can build Active-X controls...
Some other things that I don't remember.
While I would not use J++ to do the data handling if I had to choose a tool I would do the front end in, I would choose J++, even over VB!
Then, I would write the business logic/data handeling in VFP... compile it as a .DLL...
Also, I believe the foot print is smaller... I could be wring. Does anyone know if J++ requires runtime files? If so how big are they?
I guess as they say, use the best tools for the job.
BOb
