RailGun tech - hit targets at very long distance faster than any other means.

RailGun tech (side benefit) - make aircraft carriers able to handle heavier aircraft while making smaller carriers.

Better recon capabilities.

Hypersonic/edge of space transport / combat capabilities

Better undersea detection
