I used to be an adamant supporter of the death penalty. The knowledge that innocent people have been executed is enough for me to no longer support the death penalty. Reform is not an option: The death penalty can never be reformed to be 100% accurate.

People like to use the argument that what if your family member were murdered; wouldn't you want the person responsible to be executed? My retort is this: What if your family member was innocent but convicted and sentenced to death for a murder? Wouldn't you want the death penalty off the table?
