Soldiers in the military certainly deserve respect but, unless they have been in battle, they deserve no more respect than the average hard working tax paying citizen. In fact, it is those tax paying citizens that have paid for their room, board, and training. I think you need to give this issue a little more thought.

Kevin Marois and John Baird have already said what I planned to say about all your mouthing off.

Your statement above is ridiculous. When someone enters the armed forces, they have no idea if they'll be in battle or not.

The "room and board" we pay is an investment....an investment to keep our country safe, which is the general role of the armed forces.

My brother was in the Marines from 1987 to 1990, and even though he never saw any combat/action, my hardest day in my 24 year career was still easier than most of his days near a chemical weapons base. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I have the utmost respect for people who enter the military and stick it out.
