Hard to believe an article that is dead wrong right in the first line. Microsoft NEVER said that you can't use .NET for the Win8 UI.


I just read the article, and I don't see where the first line is saying that Microsoft said you can't use .NET.....unless I'm missing something, I think you're misreading it....
