A media player plugin is required to play the audio generated by this site e.g. the "Reply(ies)" sound.
By default FireFox offers to install the QuickTime plugin. QuickTime is bloated and has a long history of serious security holes. I use the "Microsoft Windows Media Player FireFox Plugin" instead. I installed that with FireFox 3.x, and it's continued to work with 4.x and now 5 (on Windows 7 x64).
