The political debate is often in the middle of those "chicanes". The prime objectif of the site is to offer a technical support engine. What if we drop this once and for all. I think UT would became very boring without chatter. It is one of those things that give some life and character to this site
versus other tech websites. When it comes to technical content and help, you can get it more or less anywhere nowadays, but this place seem to have grown into something more then ordinary technical forum. It has charm/attraction of global virtual bar outing after (or during) frantic day at work, and this is to the great extent due to chatter forum and gallery of characters that attends it regularly.

I do get annoyed from time to time with political posts around here, but reading them or not is at the end of the day matter of choice as there are ways to avoid chatter forum, twit someone, or disable chatter all together. If there is no chatter, then there would be no choice not so ever, and that would be much bigger loss. Although with chatter/chatter section gone, I suspect chatter content would simply spill over to all other forums here (as we see it happening very often), so there would be no other effect except 'polluting' more clean technical areas such are VFP, NET etc.

As for 'Grover' whoever that person might be, I did not see anything so 'outrageous' in his/her posts that would warrant
banning for that reason, and I certainly hope that only reason he/she was banned is for double account situation. If 'Grover' was to be banned for what he wrote (versus much worse stuff I have seen around here), that would be IMO real bummer.

And last but not least, somehow I doubt it is actually Kevin! It looks as if someone played very very wicked game on him and
managed to set him up. And no, it is NOT Lynda Loveland either {g}
