I don't drink it either (unless I am cornered by some uncle-producer {g}) but slivovica can be indeed very good. Problem is that not many industrially produced brands are all that good and constant in quality. You really have to get lucky with some home produced brew (from someone you know personally or by reccomendation) or buy most expensive one you can find.

Opposite to popular opinion of sljivovica hardliners (no good unless you whole body shakes {g}), I find less strong brands
(35-36 degree) to be much better.
