>In my VFP/Excel Automation program, I saved the Excel file manually one time to c:\dev and although this is not in the program anywhere, and I mean nowhere, a YES / No / Cancel dialog keeps coming up asking if I want to save the file. This happens after I have opened the Excel application (oExcel.Application). There is no code to save the file until the end of the program, yet I keep getting the prompt to to save the file. What the heck is going on? All I do is open a NEW Excel file at the point that it is asking if I want to save a specific file name, which I did one time. Now, it is as if it is stuck on this dialog.

Are you sure you're not trying to re-create the reference to the Excel and release the original reference? Also, see if adding oExcel.DisplayAlerts = .f.
can help.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
