>>>>>Bill Sanders got banned?
>>>
>>>Yes, from memory he got into a tiff with KG and ended up challenging him to a sword duel. Or maybe that was somebody else.
>>>
>>>Lest anybody read anything more into that: no, I don't think BS framed KG. IMHO the scenario of somebody building a false trail behind a fake ID over weeks or months just so they can get their target blamed for calling somebody an ass, is beyond belief. I'd be interested to know whether anybody has examples of people laying such a trail for an online ID in real life.

>>In a way I am glad to see this whole brouhaha die down. The way I am not glad is I still believe an innocent member has been unfairly banned for life. I have had several emails back and forth with Kevin the past few days. If he really was Grover, he is the best liar in the history of the world, His belief, and mine as well, is that "Grover" 1) acted for unknown reasons; and 2) faked Michel out completely. For sure we don't know how or why it was done. There are any number of possible scenarios besides the one you describe. Kevin could have been chosen semi-randomly as a high profile forum member.

>>BTW, he said one very interesting thing to me. He said his password suddenly stopped working a month or so ago and he had to get a new one. Didn't Victor A. and John B. say the same thing? Maybe they should be watching their backs.

>Granted all of these posts are just speculation, but what you find interesting i find interesting for other reasons. I thought that KG's post where he asks Michel to get on with it, which included his "btw, my account was hacked" comment, to be oddly preemptive.
>
>As for Grover "acting for unknown reasons", the majority of posts in the chatter/political section are for the most part intended to criticize one political party or another. Its done for entertainment and sport. That is the reason. The brouhaha occurred in a thread with a title suggesting, jokingly, that a school building be burned because a student was required to conform to a school policy concerning graduation dress codes. Later in the thread, JB suggested that libs are critical of the military... to which i asked if those criticisms were actually aimed at the politicians who direct the military. And voila, just a few days later in the same thread, Grover (a self-proclaimed liberal who oddly enough happens to reference stories on the far right leaning freerepublic.com website), reaffirms the far-right's imaginary "libs hate the military" stereotype by questioning JB's military service.

>The impersonator was big on political posts. It was obvious to me that the person was pretending to be a military-critical liberal in order to disparage 'liberals'. Do you agree? And if the impersonator was attempting to disparage liberals, what would you guess would be the impersonator's real political affiliation?
>
>Of course all of that proves absolutely nothing. Just more speculation. Regardless of who it was, i think the reason behind Grover's posts is obvious.

I honestly don't know and am out of theories. The only reason I am still curious at all is I want to know who to never speak to again, since their continued presence is being tolerated.
