>>>The impersonator was big on political posts. It was obvious to me that the person was pretending to be a military-critical liberal in order to disparage 'liberals'. Do you agree? And if the impersonator was attempting to disparage liberals, what would you guess would be the impersonator's real political affiliation?

>Yes and you've all been falling for my provocative right wing agent provocateur for years :-)

Shhhh! We're both going to get caught ;-)

Back to bed for me. My sleep patterns have been hopelessly screwed up lately. Part of the time I was fighting a cold, and now we are in a heat wave (today's high is predicted to be 98F, the highest in 5 years in Chicago), but that's not enough to explain it. I go to bed early, wake up perky around this time, and generally feel energy levels unrelated to the clock. I feel like a character in a Philip K. Dick story.

One more plug before going -- have you read any Philip K. Dick? That guy was many years ahead of his time. A number of his books / stories have been made into movies. Not just movies but memorable ones. "Blade Runner" (desert island movie) was based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" "Total Recall", starring the governator, was based on "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale." "Minority Report" had the same name in print. The recent "The Adjustment Bureau," in which Matt Damon plays a politician whose future is controlled by mysterious forces, was based on "The Adjustment Team." Sci-fi is not my genre at all but PKD was not just a genre writer.

I am exerting all my self control not to use his name in a wise guy way ;-)
