Very good.

After more testing I find the two wrapper approaches actually don't work every time. Lockscreen didn't work for me at all and the second worked intermittently.

The function is called from a command button on a page of the pageframe. The text boxes being checked reside on other pages.

The refresh() command in the activate of the page being returned to seems to work every time.
