Fracking uses 99.5% sand & water in the process that takes place thousands of feet below the surface. Average aquifiers are a few hundred. One must ignore the law of gravity to justify the claims yet they persist.

>>>Yep, and I'm sure there are many, many other examples. Vote Republican and pray they don't go too far, or vote Democrat and pay Obama's $10.00 per gallon.... A conundrum.

>>Classic Republican fear tactics. Gas is less than $4/gallon here and Chicago is the most expensive gasoline market in the country. There is massive turmoil throughout the Middle East. Of course that shows up at the pump. Oh wait, that's Obama's fault, too.

>Wasn't Obama going to get us out of Iraq? Isn't he saying now that we're staying? Truth is, he will say anything and do anything (except for the right thing) Gas is almost twice what is was when Bush left office and is predicted to go higher, based on the dems unwillingness to allow drilling.

He is getting us out of Iraq. It's not happening right away, in accordance with the views of the military, but we are already phasing out and have far fewer troops there than we did before. Same with Afghanistan. How you manage to see him as the warmonger compared to Bush, I can't imagine.

Do you have any citations for the gas price numbers? They have been fluctuating wildly the past few years, including pre-2009, but that is due to events in the middle east, not actions of any U.S President.

"dems unwillingness to allow drilling" -- not even responding to that kind of partisanship.
