Object column/row management with data has nothing to do with object-oriented programming. The probable reasons some .NET and other developers say negative things about VFP is either ignorance (lack of knowledge), or competitiveness (language religion), sometimes even jealousy (often related to the passionate VFP community).
A good resource to compare the object-oriented features of VFP to .NET is Chapter 5 of the book .NET for VFP Developers, online at
http://foxcentral.net/microsoft/NETforVFPDevelopers_Chapter05.htm. You might want to provide that URL to your teacher. Or else myself and a small army of VFP developers can come down to Peru and visit your class as guest speakers. :)
