Are you sure about that? Aren't you confusing that with operator overloading?

VFP is considered a OO language as it implements the most important characteristics of an OO language even though not all language elements are objects. C# and bv.next are not considered pure OO languages either. Smalltalk OTOH is. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object-oriented_programming
