I am in substantial agreement with you. (You can get up off the floor now). The stimulus has not had much effect and Obama has not been leading as strongly as he should be. He needs a major LBJ or Nixon injection IMO. Kick butts, take down names. No one is afraid of him and so they blow him off with impunity. After the meetings between Obama and Rep. Boehner you would think Boehner was the one running the country and Obama his supplicant. No, I can't quite go along with this, Boehner said. Obama should have told him that if you even crack a smile at me again you will be back in your dippy little district in Ohio so fast your head will spin. No more Mr. Nice Guy. It clearly has not worked.

Obama has determined political enemies with an unshakable agenda. They won't give him the time of day. If he submitted a resolution praising Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts they would block it. But he definitely shares part of the blame. He needs to get tougher and stop assuming everyone is as smart as he is. They aren't, and they are much more ruthless. Adapt or die.
