i note that the blank.page that opens up with a saved html file has security turned on so i suspect this is an anti-spam feature. if i remove the security on the 'blank' page - the hyperlink continues to open the email. stands to reason then that this is why the hyperlinks with less than 16 recipients work fine. k (I have a little forum of my own going here - don't mind me.)

>it gets worse. the 28 email hyperlink in the orginal html file that i generate with vfp actually does work. i emailed the html file to a friend and they had no problem opening the link - nor did i have a problem when the file was attached to an email. when i save the html file to a general directory however, the 28 email hyperlink does not work - yet the smaller 8-12 email hyperlinks do work. any ideas??

>>i am using vfp to 'write' files in html code. i have done this umpteen times and it works seemlessly - all hyperlinks work fine.

>>the hyperlink i have created is mailto: with subject body etc. i populate the bcc list with 28 email addresses.
>>what happens is the hyperlink activates only as far as about.blank and will not continue to the pop up self addressed email.

>>now for the weird part.
>>when i cut and paste ONLY the hyperlink part with 28 email addresses into a new and separate html file - click on the link - it works fine.
>>when i limit the email addresses to 15 in the original html (removing the other 13) it also works fine.
>>
>>Any ideas on what i might be doing wrong in the 'write' part?
>>
>>i cannot see how anything preceding or following the hyperlink would affect the actual working of the hyperlink ie- i cannot see how removing the hyperlink as independent body of html can suddenly make it work ---- unless the former statement is wrong.
