thanks for your help, I am now much closer. I have one thing that is stopping me now. I need to resize the chart so it displays properly in Word. I guess I have two options to resize it in Excel, or to resize it in Word. Unfortunately I cannot work out how to do this in either one using automation.

I am unable to record a macro in either one as when the Macro recording starts, I am unable to select the chart.

I am using Office 2002 for this.
