Here is sample code from the EditBox Page....

Activate Event
This.edtCommunicationsLog.Visible = .T.
This.edtCommunicationsLog.Enabled = .T.


Deactivate Event
This.edtCommunicationsLog.Visible = .F.
This.edtCommunicationsLog.Enabled = .F.
