If you want source control for SQL Server, I suggest going a different route.
Look into an MSDN Premium or higher subscrption. Visual Studio Premium & Ultimaate has great SQL Server development support including unit testing, test data generation, and more. And, you get a license for TFS for source control. There is a connector on CodePlex that lets you use TFS just as you did with Source Safe, ie, it will integrate directly with VFP.
