I'm tasked with SELECTing (only) from a FoxPro database that lives on a different network. I'm unclear on how to get this data into my SQL Server database locally... I'm using SSIS.

1) Direct table reference using OLEdb driver... I can get this to work ONLY if the VFP database is living on my network.
2) FTP the .dbf's locally and then use 1)
3) Can I use OPENQUERY with the remot machine's IP address? Will I need to emulate a user on the VFP machine? Can someone post syntax for this?
4) LInked Server? Can somone post the command used to set up the linked server for a REMOTE machine if this is possible?
