I don't mind getting CC'd as long as the thread hasn't drifted to something else that I have no interest in. This often happens with Chatter stuff (not often in the technical forums). On the recent thread that started my ranting about this (and I won't say which one or who), I'm pretty sure it's not a selective CC ... it's a CC to everyone, regardless of the thread-drift.
