The exe and supporting files (data and xls) are all located on a file server on a Windows 2003r2 server.

The directory structure is simple - the exe in the main folder, with tables in the "data" subdirectory and spreadsheets in the "xls" subdirectory. In the xls subdirectory is a spreadsheet that is used as a template.

The program takes input from the user on a simple screen, crunches data, loads the template spreadsheet, updates the data in the spreadsheet then saves it as a new file in the same XLS directory.

I'm fairly certain the problem revolves around the spreadsheet. The program does use a fully qualified path when referencing the template spreadsheet and the output file name. At this writing the template spreadsheet does open but the problem appears to come up when it is time to save the updated file.
