Anyone had any luck using the SQL Server XML Datatype inside VFP?

We use ODBC SQL Pass through to connect manipulate data in an SQL Server 2008 database. If we select data from a table that has a column of 'XML' datatype, the cursor column is empty in VFP.

What do we need to do to get the XML into a VFP Memo datatype?
