Mike-

I come down on the side of pageframes, too. One thing that has helped me and my users is to concentrate on who is doing what with the system when. The people who want the 14" sheet of paper are usually not the same people doing the data entry. So, one thing I've found helps me "sell" users on pagesframes is to make sure they have a report that matches their old output and then show why they don't want the dataentry form to be like that. So far it's worked well. And even gets the client's to thinking about how maybe more than 2 people in an organization might want to use information < s >.

You may have noticed that more and more web sites are keeping at the start page to a web site as one screen (480x640) of information. It seems like it is becoming a de facto standard.

>Let's assume that I'm creating software to complete a government form that is printed on a 14" sheet of paper. It seems that creating a "form" that looks as much like the official form is a good interface. I know there are issues with getting to parts of the "form" that are out of view. If you think that a scrollable "form" is a bad interface, how would you design the above example?
