Hi,

When I bring up Back Up Database from the SSMS I see two fields that I need to clarify my understanding:

1. Backup to (disk) (e.g. "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL2\MSSQL\Backups\MyDatabase.bak

I understand that MyDatabase.bak has not one but many backs, correct? And I don't seem to be able to change this name (it is grayed). Correct?

2. Name: (e.g. MyDatabase-Full Database Backup). This name I can change. Do I understand correct that the inside MyDatabase.bak there will be a backup under this name that I will (if necessary) be able to restore?

TIA.
