To me it does not seem logical if the DELETE trigger is fired and it has no records in the Deleted table. But what do I know. Is there a case I should foresee that the Deleted would have no records?

This (the code you wrote above) is almost exactly what I have. But I am thinking as to how and what kind of message to send back to the UI tier to let know that nothing was deleted. Usually when user selects to delete, a record in the Cursor Adapter cursor is deleted. Then VFP calls TableUpdate(). So I need to find a good strategy to let the UI know that something failed.
