Well, nothing with VFP installed. I do have a 9-year-old notebook that still runs. It would take a couple of hours to install all of the necessary software and patches but I've already wasted 3 weeks so it's probably worth a try, especially since I can't think of anything else. :-(

Just noticed that this time there's a .ERR file on the project build. "Error in global include file: Include file 'd:\....\farmoffice.h' is not found." Decidedly odd since I am not aware of any .h files used in this application, and the app certainly nothing to do with farms. It is for a legal office! I searched the project and there is no reference to it. Ideas?
