Is this VFP or FPW or FPDos? Memo fields have been flaky since the earliest dBase days. You might download FixFox or FPTFix or Salvage from the FILES section here (Coding and Syntax section) and see if there are any problems which could be fixed that way. Reindexing rarely solves memo field problems for long, as it doesn't actually change the memo fields at all, just reorders the files.

Are you positive your users are not shutting off their machines without closing your FP programs? That's one of the most common reasons for memo problems. And is your network stable and not causing file problems?
