He grew up in Michigan, lived in Utah a short time. I think he still has a vacation home here. He was governor of Massachusets, where I believe he is a resident. Of the Republican candidates, I prefer Huntsman. He was a fantastic governor. IMO, Romney is the only GOP candidate with a chance to beat Obama.

But it brings to the forefront the question that has loomed over his candidacy, and the one in 2008: what is his state? Other than Utah, of course. He is way too tepid tea for those on the far right, and he isn't going to get any help from Democrats or many independents. He is not an energizer. I'm not saying he is a bad person. It's just hard to foresee a scenario in which he has broad enough appeal to be elected.
