>>Talk about booing... When Vernon Wells was here, he spent an entire season being roundly booed because he was having a lousy year, in spite of the fact of his many great years in Toronto. So he got traded to the Angels and everybody was happy to see him go. First game back in Toronto, he gets a standing ovation and cheers go on and on. Game on, and his first at bat he hits the long ball. Nothing but boos for the rest of the game.

>The fans here haven't decided whether we feel as a group about Jayson Werth. When he comes back with the Nats, there's a solid mix of boos and cheers. OTOH, even all these years later, Scott Rolen only gets booed. Aaron Rowand, otoh, gets cheers.

The fans here still love the Doc. They booed him some when he pitched against us, but that was only natural. They gave him a standing ovation both days he was visible. Vernon Wells is another story. The feelings towared him are kind of schizophrenic. What is absolutely, abundantly clear is the fan feelling toward A.J. Burnett, and that feeling is pretty much that he is an abomination who should never have been allowed to walk the earth with decent folk. I don't feel quite so strongly toward him myself. I merely detest him.
