Do you need to do this in Blend or are you just following the Jump Start? With VS2010 you should be able to set everything you need without using Blend. This wasn't the case with VS2008 so the jump starts were written with that in mind. I find it much easier and use blend only for stuff that is graphical or animation oriented.
