>>I am doing some documentation today and was wondering on the exact difference between Migrating and Converting. I have seen this terminology being used at large in similar context. But, when being used properly, there is surely a difference. Anyone would like to comment?

VFP to .Net... Not sure if this is correct or not.... I really think the terms are used interchangibly...
I agree with your definitions, although I do think there is a difference. The one you state -- same software vs. different software, to which I would add moving to a different OS.
FoxPro 2.6 to VFP would be another example of conversion, not migration. In fact the wizards even use that word, conversion.
