>>Include Carter (CRA, DOE), Nixon(Clean Air & EPA), Johnson(Great Society), Truman(Employment Act), FDR(New Deal) and so on. Essentially every president, congress and court that upheld any and all central planning of the "economy" is to blame. As are the citizenry who put them in power. Lose Reagan from your list as he and Kennedy were the only one's who actually attempted to reverse the trend.

Perhaps you should look at more than a single data point, or at least examine it in proper context.

Remember the premise:
And Bush continues to actually be responsible for a lot of our current economic woes; Clinton, Bush Sr., and Reagan bear responsibility too.

Reagan spent by building up the military which was gutted by Carter not by throwing trillion$ at "stimulus" and too-big-to-fail. In other words, he actually spent on something that mattered and it was finite, not ongoing like QEx and did not saddle us with new entitlements (Medicare Part D), massive new government entities (DHS) nor central planning boondoggles (Fannie/Freddie lowered standards, CRA, ethanol subsidies). In addition he promoted growth through deregulation and lower taxation rather than strangling business through threatened taxation and edicts from on-high czars and lettered agencies without bothering to go through elected(accountable to the citizenry) officials. Today's economic problems have zero, nada, zip to do with Reagan and everything to do with central planning statists who refuse to let Marx and Keynes rest in peace where they belong.
