>We've hashed this out before and neither of us has changed our minds, but fracking is SO dangerous because it pollutes groundwater. It doesn't just pollute groundwater with oil, it pollutes the groundwater with nasty chemicals that they use during the fracking process.

As before, I'll ask you to provide evidence to back up your proveably false statements.

I'll even provide the wiki (still not proof) for you. ;)

A 2011 study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology concluded that "The environmental impacts of shale development are challenging but manageable.". The study addressed groundwater contamination, noting "There has been concern that these fractures can also penetrate shallow freshwater zones and contaminate them with fracturing fluid, but there is no evidence that this is occurring". This study blames known instances of methane contamination on a small number of sub-standard operations, and encourages the use of industry best practices to prevent such events from recurring.[23]

and then there's this...
There has been concern that these fractures can also penetrate shallow freshwater zones and contaminate them with fracturing fluid, but there is no evidence that this is occurring. There is, however, evidence of natural gas migration into freshwater zones in some areas, most likely as a result of substandard well completion practices by a few operators.

and don't forget this...
I’m not aware of any proven case where the fracking process itself has affected water, although there are investigations ongoing,” she said. - EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson 5/24/2011

and this...
http://www.star-telegram.com/2010/09/04/2445005/the-barnett-shale-search-for-facts.html
Agency Secretary John Hanger told the Star- Telegram that there have been no confirmed cases of groundwater contamination in Pennsylvania as a result of deep hydraulic fracturing in the Marcellus Shale.

The insignificant number of proven cases of groundwater pollution are a result of poor casing, not the process of fracking nor the fluid (99.5% of which is water and sand). There are zero proven cases of cancer from exposure to fracking fluids.

As always, I welcome proof to the contrary.

Of course, we can always wait until 2014 when the EPA finalizes it's study. ;)
