Hi friends:

A client of mine needs to import prices from an Excel file.

Till now he could do this with the only condition of renaming file without spaces

IMPORT FROM (NARCHI) TYPE XLS

works fine.

But...

Now there is another provider and he publishs his prices in a XLSx file...

I did it easy. I "saved as..." 97-2003 format and Excel warned me: "Some characteristics... Proceed any way?" YES

Now I have an XLS and I try to import.

I don't know the message in English but a translation could be:

"VFP SP2 is not working any more. Do you want to search a solution on line or close VFP?"

If I choose "search" it seems to search but it closes without saying "Sorry" at least.

Till now I haven't seen when I choose "search" it finds any solution for any trouble like this.

Is there any way of importing XLSx files in VFP SP2?

I must say the problem is between TRY... CATCH structure but VFP laught at them...

You know I can't tell my client "You can't actualize your prices" so I'll export and change columns and arrange the file and FINALLY I'll convert the file so that there is not problem but since my client is not a corporate client and he doesn't want to be one of that kind I can't tell him every steps he would have to do if I die.

He will not hear me either.

If someone can contribute...
